A key factor in the uniform dating is the use of red and white community
strips and the use of red and white council strips. I believe the
transition from red and white community strips to red and white council
strips (before the colorful varieties) took place in the early to mid 60s.
Since one has community strip and one has council strip, I'd guess they are
from just prior to and just after that council's change!
BTW, in the early 50s, community strips were gold on blue for cubs and red
on khaki for scouts.
