Alan and any others interrested . . .
Back when my son's were in CUB's, we did just waht you
suggest. In fact, we talked it up at round table and
got 6 other packs to also start a summer program ball team.
At one point, the cub packs had thier OWN seperate division.
However, with the growth of soccer, many former baseball
fields have been take over for soccer. The cub division was
completely canceled a few years back - for lack of facilities.
However, my younger son was then old enough to begin to play
on other school teams, and wound up on a championship hockey team.
The one problem we had - with a large pack, at one point we had
to have a "varsisty" and a JV team or - Weblos and the rest
on two seperate teams. Our pack did win the cub division
championship one year - but obivously one pack finished last.
Do your best - and give it a shot. To try - but to fail is
better that not to have treid at all - or something profound
like that . . ..
