This topic brings back may happy memories that I'm happy to be jogged
into recalling. Before we start wishing to step back in time too far
please take a second to remember some things we should never forget.
Duck and cover
A "Woman's place"
Bread lines in the cities
Hunger in Appalachia
The trees that grow strange fruit
Sorry to bring up negative memories, but lets not forget that we (at
least in the USA) live in the most prosperous, safest time in history.
Let us be thankful for what we have and try to share it with the rest of
the world. We have some REAL problems to solve, and serious work to do.
Perhaps helping to train leaders for tomorow who have a steady hand and
open hearts and minds is the most important thing we, as Scout leaders,
