Training and Hearing Impaired Attendees

I am sending this message to the list at my wife's request. We have
what I can only assume is NOT an uncommon problem. How do you handle
Cub basic training with hearing impaired individuals? Our district has
a Cub Scout pack that is chartered by a school for the hearing
impaired. Many of the den leaders (as well as the Cubs) have
significant or total hearing loss.
We would like to get these leaders trained but we have been informed
that only the Fast Start video is Close Captioned. In addition we have
not been able to locate anyone who is willing to donate their skills as
an interpreter for the live basic training session. I come to the list
asking for information. Are you aware of any district or council that
has a signed or CC version of basic training that they have video
taped? What about youth protection?
I realize that we could get them self study workbooks but it seems like
this issue has probably already been addressed somewhere so if you have
any suggestions or know of any solutions please e-mail them privately
to either my wife or I.
