The major difference between a three and four season tent is the material
made out of, sometimes the poles and then the rainfly.
The four season tent is rated at a higher wind velocity and can withstand a
greater amount of weight placed on the tent (from snow) due to a different
pattern of tent and poles. The rainfly on a four season tent is closer to
the ground to break the winds speed, so the tent is not damaged with high
Four season tents will still collect some moisture in the tent from the
natural body vapor being given off from the occupants. There is really
nothing that can be done about this.
