I bought a 17 foot Coleman barge when my family was young and we needed a
very stable fishing and canoeing platform. It provided that. Coleman
canoes are virtually indestructable and will endure abuse beyond what any
reasonable person could expect. However they are polyethylene and do not
hold their shape. They will hog bag if stored improperly. They are heavy.
They steer like barges and are not really suitable for whitewater. If
they fit your needs great, otherwise let them go.
