I would take note on the disposal of compressed gas fuels (actaully their
vessels). Since they have stopped allowing the smaller refill type cannisters,
compressed gas on backpacking trips is the least environmentally safe fuel.
Think of all those Coleman cannisters thrown into landfills.
My preference is to use propane but only when I can bring a refillable tank. I
have several trees and hoses so on campouts I can support multiple stoves.
If I am wrong and their is a manufacturer who makes smaller tanks than one
would normally find on their BBQ please let me know. Back in the old days I
use to fill the smaller ones from a couple of large tanks. Never had a problem
because I respected the danger.
