When did they slip this one in? I wasn't aware of this. G2SS (dark blue
1999 printing) has a whole section on Guidelines for Safely Using
Chemical Stoves and Lanterns.
They (the BSA National Council) DIDN'T.
SOME, but not all, Local Councils have banned the use of liquid fuels on
their campgrounds, but it is NOT a National prohibition.
The ONLY revision to the G2SS, since it was printed, as documented on
the BSA web site, is ""Surfboarding" was removed from the list of
activities for which PFDs are required. [15 June 1999]"
