I agree that training should be offered for adults at Summer camp.
This year we offered Youth Protection Training, and Health & Safety for
the Boy Scout Leaders the response has been 0-5 people attending. I
don't know the exact number of adults attending summer camp, but we have
120-240 total youth and adult campers. About 50% of the training
attendees were from out of our council. We also offer Safe-Swim
Defense, and Safety-a-float but I don't have those numbers.
For Cub Scouts we offered all 4 Cub Scout fast start tapes. Attendance
hear was a little better 2-7 adults. During Webelos Week will be
offereing Boy Scout Fast start.
I don't an easy way to offer SMF, unless someone works at summer camp
all summer to teach it every week.
