When BP devised "playing the game" I'm sure that he had few rules in mind.
A good game always has few rules. I agree with Mike that learning is messy,
and some of our best lessons come from mistakes. That's where we come in
as adult leaders and help Scouts through the process of reflection to learn.
Throw in some safety coaching and some character modeling, and you have
the essential Scout leader.
