Question about a possible 'smellable'

Our troop is attending Haliburton Scout Reservation next month, and I'll be
taking along my oil painting equipment for leisure times since I have an
upcoming art exhibit. My plan is to keep the wet canvases in my 6-man tent
with me so they don't accumulate surface trash while they dry. While I
understand Haliburton isn't strong bear/critter territory, we will be
keeping smellables in the concrete pit provided. I also don't know the
chemical makeup of standard oil paints. Should I be concerned about keeping
wet oil-painted canvases in the tent with me and attracting curious
creatures? Any suggestions on storing the canvases if I can't have them in
the tent? (Does this make me the Queen of the Really Weird Scout
