This is how we do it. We have 3 patrols now, ranging in size from 3 to 9
members. I'd like the one to be a little larger but feel it's their
business--if they want it changed they can make that decision themselves.
One of the others is all new Scouts--5th grade just-graduated
Webelos--and the other is mixed age.
Each patrol then chooses their own PL, he chooses his APL. We've never
had set terms of office but with the next election this summer we will be
going to 6-month terms. This change was suggested by me but the decision
was made by the TLC.
