To Patty and all the others that helped me (in February) to get the plaster
neckerchief slides ready for the Blue and Gold banquet. THANK YOU!!!
Much has happened since then, in my personal life, my Scouting life and in
the space where the two collide. I forgot to personally and individually
thank you all. I read each and every tip sent to me, tried every tip and got
the job done at the 11th hour.
The Bears (and I) recently finished an art belt loop activity, trying out
new media and techniques. As a surprise, I had some plaster slides ready to
paint when they were finished or tired of the other activities. I thought
the spiders and cars would be a hit, but they all liked the bobcats left
over from when I made them bears for the B&G. Go figure.
BTW for those of you who (like me) have avoided the academic loops - I had 4
Bears, 1 Tenderfoot and a Tiger seated and working for 2 hours for this art
loop. Don't say it can't be done! (They weren't silent, they could talk
about anything as long as their hands were doing art.) We had quite a few
finished pieces to hang at the pack meeting and the slides had to go home to
be painted - the parents came before the boys wanted to leave! They are all
proud of their first gold loop!
THNAKS AGAIN for the plaster hints!
