I'm glad you like the venturing program...but first let me correct your
above statement....The ranger award is an impressive project for an older
YOUTH to accomplish. Young ladies are just as much a part of Venturing
as are the young men. If other Councils are anything like ours, the
female venturers outnimber the males by about 25%. Venturing is gender
neutral..both sexes are valuable and welcome members.
The bronze awards are earned by meeting requirements in one of five areas
(usually the crew will have a primary focus in one of these)
Arts and hobbies
The Gold award is primarily a leradership award
