Sorry To See You Go!

Hello Tom (and possibly goodbye, too!),
I'm going to be a little selfish here for a tad. Being that I'm only in my
4th year of adult Scouting and my 3rd year as Cubmaster I have many many
many questions. And I am constantly looking to the more experienced and
wise Scouters, like yourself, to help me out in my times of woe (and they
are many!). I can't even put a unit of measure on how much this list has
helped me out in just the last several months.
Being in a pack where getting volunteers is like pulling teeth I can
understand how you would want a break after 20 years. Whew! I tip my hat to
you my good man. Regardless of what you decide to do on behalf of all the
other Scouters who have not "done it all" I, first of all, thank you for
the years you have put into improving the young boys' and mens' lives you
have come in contact with. I'm sure they feel the same.
Secondly, I want to beg you (are you picturing me on my knees?) to at least
keep a finger on the pulse of the list. I don't know if you know it but,
you can set it up so that you don't get all the emails (using the NOMAIL
option, I think). That way you can just look through the discussions in the
archives, pick out the ones that get your juices flowing and you can still
post your words of wisdom to the list.
Hey, ya nevah know, someday it just might be "my" fat that you pull out of
Either way Tom, I wish you good luck and many relaxing afternoons on that
river bank, wherever it may be.
