BTW some of you asked if the SM was trained. Sorry to say he has his

Unfortunately, some Scouters go through all the training they can when they
first start out and never go again. They never take advantage of refresher
courses, Commissioner College, University of Scouting, Roundtable,
training/discussion sessions at summer camp, or any of the other millions of
training opportunities available. Sometimes we get it in our heads that
we've learned everything we need to know and no training course is going to
teach us anything new.
Along the same vein, most trained Scouters learn quickly that what they
learn in training often needs to be massaged to fit in their particular
situation. Sometimes we forget and massage it too far, sometimes we just
