Stacking Dutch ovens is an excellent technique to cook several things at
once with a minimum amount of space and fuel, but there are a couple of
things to watch out for. Obiviously you need the stuff that will cook
the fastest or needs to be served first in the top dutch oven. This
also goes for something that requires frequent chef intervention
(basting, checking for doneness etc).
Also since most of the time when using you want more heat on top than on
bottom to prevent sticking etc. you have to adjust to get even heating.
One last thing is that you might also find that the ovens near the top
of the tower get alot hotter than you would imagine because of the
compounding as the heat rises the tower.
