When I did Train The Trainer the person who did the felt board
session said use sandpaper for the backs of the cards you want to put
up. The board is tilted back slightly anyway so the sandpaper provides
just enough friction to hold the item. He did not say what grit(or at
least I do not remember) so try different grits. I do remember it
looked like a fine or medium grit, not a course grit. He also made
four smaller boards using aluminum angle iron type pieces and when
getting to the destination would clamp them together to make a larger
board. It made it easier to pack and travel with.
Hope this helps.

I'm planning to make a large felt board (about 4'x5')- for training
purposes. I want to know what works best to adhere the felt to the
cardboard backing to keep the felt from pulling away from the board
removing the velcro-backed display pieces.
