Those parental suggestions all sound like fairly good ideas, but the
troop committee should not be deciding if they go into the troop's
program, much less an informal group of parents. That is the patrol
leaders council's job.
Frankly, I would think you would have your hands full offering a good
Scouting program. There are tons of other good things to teach kids,
but we can't realistically incorporate them all into Scouting.
Having said that, I would be very careful about how I turned down
interested parents. If they're interested, find something for them to
do. Many units would love to have your problem of parents who are *too*
