To contend that the BSA does not discriminate against
females is absurd. There are no girl Cubs. Just
because young women are allowed in Explorers does not
mean they are welcomed throughout the organization.

Because the military has the same misdirected,
homophobic attitude as the BSA. Citing other
organizations that discriminate does not justify our
discrimination. There are many organizations that
allow homosexuals to participate fully without even
requiring disclosure of their sexual preferences. Why
isn't the BSA like those?
Rejecting children for whatever reason eliminates the
opportunity to persuade those children to consider our
point of view. Those we reject will, in turn, reject
us and our values. The old saw about catching more
flies with honey than vinegar has never been more
