stocking first aid kits

As part of my Woodbadge ticket, I made a questionaire for
the parents of new scouts to learn more about the new young
men entering my troop (Knowing and using your resources).
The registration form does not give you much information
except the boys' doctors and any allergies. I asked the
parents if they would let me give the boys aspirin or
tylenol or advil or nothing; tums or roll-aids or nothing
and so forth. This form was signed at the bottom so I had
their permission/denial to administer any over-the-counter
drugs. I also had what medications the boys were taking
listed and how often they were taking them. So, I could do
reminders at each meal. I have also discovered that a good
big drink of water tends to get rid of a head ache (on set
of dehydration) and a few minutes of "time out" tends to get
rid of a stomach ache (excessive tension).
Nobody told me in SMF or Woodbadge, you needed to be a

aid kit....latex gloves, in case you have to come in contact
with a "stranger's" blood.
