These merit badges are from the 1920's
or 1930's. There is one I have not been able to identify. It
looks like a red spoked wheel with a yellow circle in the hub
of the wheel. It's not Cycling, that one is mounted on the
sash next to this one.
Anyone have any ideas what it might be? >>
My old handbooks only show one spoked wheel - Cycling. However, there is a
cogged wheel in the 1945 ed. that's gone in '48, but the illustration is in
B&W so I can't tell if it might be what you're looking for. It has a circle
in the middle with, concentrically, a thick ring, a thin ring, & a thin ring
w/teeth. It's for Foundry Practice. The requirements involve designing and
making metal castings.
