Thanks for the idea Auntie Beans.
I posted awhile ago about my den bridging over and the arrow of
light. The good news? Everything will work out just fine. The idea you
gave me? For a graduation present I was thinking of a hiking staff for
each boy. Nice, but that would leave a little den dues money left over.
How about a little sewing kit? I would match the threads with scout
colors like kaki green and whatever the border color of the required for
Eagle badges. If I make pincushions instead of buying them, I bet I
could do 6 Merit Badge Application Kits - I would never call them sewing
kits in front of the boys LOL - I bet I could make 6 of them for less
Since my camp sewing kit, ummm, MB application kit gets used for lots of
things, I suggest you throw in some navy, yellow (gold), white, and red
threads in add'n to the khaki greenish. This will cover all loose things,
like council strips, which often have a gold border, and numerals, always
I think I may do this myself for when the kids make T'Foot in my troop.
