Len brings up a good point and it was a gross assumption on my part to not
You see, for years now I have had a dog and pony show about encouraging boys
to carry inexpensive (not cheap) carbon steel bladed pocket knives like the
camp kings etc.
Because when they loose them they can look grandma in the eye ,(See, I still
have the nice swiss army knife you gave me at ......)
And because the knife can be sharpened on nearly anything even a hard rock,
fast enough and with enough of a functiuonal edge as to give the boy some
appreciation for keeping tools sharp and the differences in attributes of
Somebody said long ago that quantity has a quality all its own (Joe stalin,
anyhow I assumed that we all carried carbon steel knives .
