Scouts-L Mail Archive for April of 1999: Looking for a bugle
Looking for a bugle

Someone mentioned the other day (week) that you could often find bugles on
E-bay.com. I didn't know what that was, so I checked it out. It's an
on-line auction. I've never ventured far on the Web from Scouts-L, so I
was wondering if anyone had participated in an on-line auction, if you
thought it was "safe", did you have a good experience? The local music
store tell me a bugle will cost me $300, give or take, so the prices on
the auction look attractive.
What sort of bugle should I look for? There are the Rexcraft bugles from
BSA, Civil War replicas, Army and Navy bugles. I just want one that can
play and isn't too expensive, knowing it will get knocked around camping.
