The only reference I find in the Troop Committee Guidebook (1997) is
on page 14. It states that the Chartered Organization Representative
(COR) "Secures a troop committee chairman and encourages training."
The "...chartered organization provides a meeting meeting place,
selects a Scoutmaster, appoints a troop committee of at least three
adults, and chooses a chartered organization representative." (Also
from page 14.)
I hope this helps.

Can someone who has a Troop Committee Guidebook or some such
front of them tell us exactly who elects/appoints the CC? In our
position is passed around....usually in 2 year stints. The CC is
by and from the membership of the troop committee....it is not an
position such as the SM. Now what's the REAL answer?
