Now, here's a dilemma (see clips from 2 messages below).
If the Personal Fitness Merit Badge requirements are about to change, and if
a Scout who hasn't started the badge yet has to use the current
requirements, and he's less than 12 weeks away from 18 when the merit badge
requirements change, does this prevent him from getting Eagle? Certainly if
a Scout put off starting Personal Management past 17 and 9 months, he'd be
too old because Personal Management requires 3 months of work. But what
about a sudden requirements change?
I'm a Personal Fitness MB counselor, and I've already had a number of Scouts
tell me they want to get started under the current requirements because, old
fitness tables or not, they can get done in 4 weeks instead of 12. I guess
they'd better get started next week if they want that option!
