What we do in our district is this:
Basic & powwow are a one day course. Powwow isnt like the crafty
powwow but more like information broke up into buzz sections.
then, we have a series of 6 supplemental training courses that are given
once every 3 months on a schedule. like this:
Fall: Basic 1 and Basic Adv 1
Winter: Basic 2 and Basic Adv 2
Spring : Basic 3
Summer: Basic 4
Each of those courses are 2 hours covering one basic topic each time.
Then after the 2 hour session is what I call "College of Craft" This is 2
hours of fun, hands on crafty things that you can teach the boys done
roundrobin style like Powwow.
Makes Trainings fun and makes them challenged to complete them all!
considering a special patch for those that got to all 6 supplementals :-)
