The problem is almost never with the zipper, but with the zipper pull.
I know, because I'm lazy, I take my Eureka tents back to Campmor to
have them fixed. Last time I believe it was something like $7.50 to
fix a zipper pull and takes about 5 minutes. I am sure that if I had
somewhere to spread the tent out I could do it myself.
I believe that Eureka (Johnson Camping Products?) has replacement pulls
that they will either send you or sell you. They might be free because
I believe the tents have a lifetime warranty. The kit comes with
instructions. They have an 800 number, but I don't know it.
This problem appears to be a result of normal wear and tear, and
possibly pitching the tent a little too taut so that extra pressure is
put on the zippers. I know I have had the problem on all three of my
personal Eureka tents, and I generally don't abuse them.
