Other than being highly aggravating, there has yet to be a proven
incident of damage being caused by these pointers. They are not
anywhere near the capability of military lasers which have been proven
to cause eye damage. They are distracting and there have been numerous
occasions where they have been used at sporting events to distract
the opponents. There has been a lot of hearsay and second hand talk
about the harm they can cause but no real substantative evidence. They
rank right up there with flashlights in the eyes on a dark night.
