<SNIP> My son is a Bear recently completing the Parvuli Dei. Now is there a
different religious program for Webelos? <SNIP>
The Parvuli Dei is the Roman Catholic (RC) "program" for either Bears *or*
Webelos. The Light of Christ is available to Tigers or Wolves. There are
also RC Unit Awards for which units sponsored by Catholic organizations may
In our diocese (Arlington, VA) we also have a Tiger (and Daisy) program
called Guardian Angel. As the program is not recognized by BSA, the Tigers
do not earn a knot to be worn on their Cub uniform. It is a wonderful
program that I hope will someday get national recognition.
Check out the National Catholic Committee on Scouting site for information.

*Additional RC awards your Cub/Scout/Venturer may wish to earn*:
Into the Third Millennium Activity
International Awareness Activity
Cubs, Scouts, Explorers/Venturers or Scouters may purchase patches to
recognize their achievements which may be worn as temporary awards on the
right pocket. (At 5" round the Millennium patch may be a bit large!)
Congratulations to your son for accomplishing so much - discovering things
about himself, his religion and struggling to learn English at the same
time. Not an easy task.
Don't forget the GSUSA recognized programs for your Troop!
