personally, i have never supported the idea of turning a cub upside down to
pin the bobcat.
aside from other negaive comments about national's position, and the fact
that a good turn is not part of the cub program, it flies in the face of the
concept of advancement which is not to demean the scout but to honor him
(and his parents/guardians) for past accomplishment - not what they will do
there are those who will say the cub himself enjoys the experience, but in
my experience, most of them are embarrassed by it.
that is not the intent of an advancement ceremony. it degrades it.
