Taking a look into the lack of parental involvement with in our pack really
has me concerned. When we have a banquet or monthly pack meeting the showing
is always minimal or 1/2 of had previously committed.
What I am looking for ideas on is running a fun monthly Pack meeting and away
to get the adult partners of our cubs more interested in the pack as a whole
and not just as a burden?
Many people look at our leaders as people who can't say *NO*, they don't
realize the enjoyment their children will have knowing mom or dad was involved
in running a particular event or activity.
Also, I am interested in ideas on Mascot swaps? I have heard many Cub packs
talk about this used as a motivational tool for pack meetings? This is were a
pack would send a mascot to another pack somewhere in the world and so on till
finally in April it gets back to the original pack with gifts and pictures of
where it has been.
A monthly letter goes back to the owner of the mascot from where the mascot
is presently and gives a brief note on what the place and pack is like. I
think this is something that we would really be interested in and I think the
cubs along with the parents would look forward to seeing where the mascot has
traveled to this month.
Thanks for any and all help.
