The daily limit used to bother me until
I was away from my computer for a couple
Some thoughts on the limit -
1. Remember the limit. If you are quickly
responding to every message, YOU may accout
for 10-20% of the daily message count.
A Scout is Courteous.
I'm not suggesting we limit posts to one
per person per day. We are all adults (at
least occassionally 8-) ) and can police
I'm also not suggesting that you never send
multiple posts. I only aske that you remember
the limit and think first.
2. Humor. While I enjoy it as much of the next
3. Responding ad nauseum to small errors. If
someone posts a virus or other hoax, let the
list owner take care of it, or send POLITE
e-mail to the sender. Using up 50% of our
bandwidth so that we can demonstrate are Internet
savvy is a waste. If they become a problem -
let the owner handle it. He has proven to be
both capable and competent.
4. And the usual bandwidth wasters - me too's,
Hi Bob's, etc.
5. Forgetting when personal e-mail is better
Well, that does it for me - at least for a day
