Sorry, this is such a long subject. However my husband and I have been
trying to reach scouts or scoutmasters from both of these troops. First
of all my husband started his adult scouting career with you at Troop #
1 in Springfeld, about 40 years ago through the Wesley United Methodist
Church in Springfield, as your Assistant Scoutmaster. Then he went and
started the troop in Kansas City, Mo as Troop # 314 and also started
Pack # 314 when our oldest son was a young boy. WE have 4 sons all of
them are Eagle Scouts now and we have grandsons in the scouting program.
Could someone of you if you are there, PLEASE get back to us and tell us
about your troop and how everything is going now. We would really love
to hear from you. I have the Silver Beaver which I received in 1980.
but, I have to give your two troops credit for all my years of
involvement in Scouting after picking it up from my husband who also was
Scoutmaster of Troop # 68 and Troop # 23 in Rohnert Park, California.
and I am still involved in Scouting by starting a cub scout and boy
scout troop here in Middletown, California. Well I have rattled on long
enough, but, if there are any OLD scouters out there, they will
understand this message to you all.
In the spirit of scouting.
