For this reason, the plastic nametags on police uniforms in Western
Australia have a patch of velcro "hooks" on the back that sticks to a
matching patch of velcro "loops" on the shirt above the pocket. The added
bonus is that the badge itself tends to look better this way that it does
if it has to stick out from the shirt allowing room for a pin behind.
