I suggest Campmor, which, once you order anything, will be a friend of
your mailbox forever! ;-) They are also on-line at
http://www.campmor.com. Very good prices, good service, AFAIK.
I'll leave the specific recommendation to others, but will just suggest
that what's best depends almost entirely on the nature of your use.
Camping in the Everglades is a far cry from the Yukon, and backpacking
is very different from pickup-truck camping, and the equipment perfect
for one may be marginal (or useless) for the other. Best bet is to get
recommendations from those in your area, doing the type of
camping/hiking you contemplate.
