Shooting arrows, flaming or not are dangerous especially when many people
are around, to the best of my knowledge, shooting such things has been
banned by scouting, i thought it was in the guide to safe scouting, i
might be wrong, i had heard that a scout had been either injured or killed
by a flaming arrow...
The safest way to do this is to not do it at all...arrows can do funny
things, even to the most skilled archer. If i were a parent i would not
want my son to be at any activity involving flaming arrows...
If arrows are slightly curved they are unpredictable, and obviously will
not fly straight, and no arrow i have ever seen is perfect...weather
conditions must also be dealt with...there are too many uncertainties
involved with flaming or non-flaming arrows.
Just some of my thoughts
