I don't have experience with Wenzel itself, but I believe they use
fiberglass poles, which is one way to keep the costs down. If you're
looking for a troop tent, I highly recommend tents with aluminum poles.
We've been using the Eureka Timberline for many years. The aluminum
poles have never failed us. They bend, but can be straightened easily.
Fiberglas is not as forgiving, and a broken pole can be a real pain in
the woods and possibly damaging to the tent.
