We had an interresting sports speaker - at first he was BOOOO'ed
when introduced - but just take a look . . .
We invited the head of the local amature baseball umpires to speak.
He talked about what it takes to be an umpire, the schools and tests,
and then he talked about how hard it is to deal with the parents,
coaches and players! As we see on TV - umpires and officials all
make mistakes, they are all human. I think this talk maybe - MAYBE -
made people a little more understanding as to how hard it really is
to be a good and fair official for ANY youth/amature sports programs.
