Those on the Venturing list can probably explain it better than me (coul=

Because in the INITIAL design of the new Venturing logo, the FDL wasn't =
Remember that according to the BSA's Insignia policies, an official BSA =
logo DOES NOT
HAVE to have the FDL nor the lettering "Boy Scouts of America" to make i=
t so. The
older Exploring insignia could have the "Big E" (with or without theFDL)=
, the word
"Exploring" or "Explorer" to make it official.
The same will go with regards to Venturing. It will be either the curre=
nt "Big V" (with or
without FDL), the words "Venturing" or "Venturer". Note, gang that the =
word "VENTURE" is NOT part of that descirpter...that belongs to the Boy =
Scout Division's programming!!

It's been brought up before, several times...the first times were during=
the All Hands Meeting when it was revealed; the next times by field pro=
fessionals wanting clarification about the usage of the new emblem and w=
hether or not local patches could be designed using the logo released (y=
eah, they could).
I look at a modification of the design to include a FDL somewhere in the=
Settummanque!!@HEY! I like it...but it blinks too much!
