Jerry mentioned a tie slide with a micromachine car.
My eyes lit up with the click of an idea, based on his post and an
earlier post by someone else.
There are now replicas, models, etc. of the BSA Character Counts
NASCAR car (thanks to whomever first posted that info to the list,
this car really sparked up my son on his b-day last week.)
Anyway, the BSA car is available in a diecast 1/24 scale model and as
a regular size Hot Wheels car.
The Hot Wheels car is a good size for a tie slide (We used firetrucks,
paramedic trucks, etc. last year for slides at the Fire! Fire!
I think I'll go grab a few of the BSA hot wheels cars and make some
thank you gifts for the dads and leaders who work the Pinewood derby
for our pack.
By the by, if you are hunting a holiday gift for your Scout, the
amount of detail on these cars is just Awesome! My son has probably
already told my wife to get me my own car so I don't hog his. And, if
she don't I will.
