You have a real problem. First it saouds as if the committee's
reservations have been relayed to the adults involved. The former SM
should be advised of the effect that his actions have had on the troop.
In truth It will probably not make any difference in what they are doing.
The troop committee is in my opinion doing the right thing A scoutmaster
must present a model of "moral" behavior to the scouts. anything less is
grounds for dissmisal. As I am sure you are aware, if the Woman was not
married there would be nothing im-moral going on, and there would not be
a problem even though she is the mother of one of the scouts. Hopefully
they will resolve thier situiation, either by terminating the
relationship or divorce.
