Troops committee chairman, and is valuable resource to the troop.
Go back to Basic Scouting 101 for the answer.
First, forget the mother's position. You "must" treat the Scout just like all
the others. She wants you to handle her son in a proper fashion. Same is true
for the ASM's son or the SM's son.
Second, have a printed discipline policy and stick to it before a problem
up. If you do not have one, ask the MOM for a discipline policy ASAP and get
you PLC to approve and addopt it. Make sure parents and Scouts know the troop
Third, remember that Scouting is a privaledge, not a right, and that all boys
are not meant to be Scouts.
