For SFF in our Council we stopped using bags a few years ago and switched to
Each door hanger is bright orange so as to stand out even if it's blown off
the door. A breif description of the need for donations of food and how the
Boy Scouts have been involved along with the Official logos of the BSA and
the United Way are printed out.
There are no dates so that the left overs can be used the next year. Instead
the tag just says in bold lettering that the Scouts will be back after 9AM
the next week to pick up and the people should leave the bags on their
Each troop then delivers the food they collect to the food bank of their
choice. There are more then 5 in our rural county.
