Wood Badge Ticket for DE?
Mon, 16 Nov 1998 21:56:17 -0500
Could sure use some help and advice from the group right about now. As a
newbie on staff (and in no small measure because of my opinions of the
role of the professional staff in our council) I got handed an
assignment to write a Wood BAdge ticket for a DE (USEless or otherwise).
I could have just done my usual sarcastic rendition, but on this one I'd
like to make a sincere and genuine effort to do a good job, if for no
other reason than to demonstrate to them that I am serious about the
program and its objectives. I may even gain a better understanding of
what a DE has to go thru in the course of his job (I'm sure that's what
the senior staff had in mind anyway!).
So, what I must come up with by next weekend is a job description, and
at least (9) ticket items broken down into the three parts of a Wood
Badge ticket. I know I could probably do this on my own but over the
last two years I've come to greatly respect the depth of knowledge and
experience that resides within this list. I never stop marvelling at the
wisdom (and wit) put forth on a daily basis on more subjects than I
could ever hope to master. Therefore, in the interests of "using my
resources" and with no small measure of humility, I seek your advice and
counsel on this matter. Please feel free to e-mail me directly.
