No. This past June we did the Sea Exploring trek - a week out on a schooner.
I went in with impression we'd be learning to sail the boat. The captain
seemed to think it was a fishing charter. We spent almost all our time under
power, dragging lines (and caught nothing we could eat). Also, the boat had
some shortcomings. The fuel tank, engine exhaust, & head were insuffciently
vented, making going below quite an experience.
On the up side, it was a beautiful place to sail, we got in a lot of great
snorkling (better than Hawaii, as good as Jamaica), and the 2nd mate, who
works for Sea Base, (Capt. & 1st mate work for boats owner) was wonderful, &
taught the boys anything they asked.
Over all, not what I expected, glad I did it, wouldn't do it again.
