Woodbadge ravings; shame on you-FLAME

To Kelly Parker
I was SO disappointed to read your ravings; I think your flame has blown
out. Or did you zap out those lines just to infuriate?
Enough with the BUTS in your message - you want the readers of your
slamming Wood Badgers to think you are on their side but keep saying BUT
with follow-up to the contrary?
You ask "Am I wrong?" - Absolutely! (in my opinion) Although you are
entitled to have your opinion. But just because you have soured as a
scouter (or so it seems) does not mean everyone else has.
AND AS AN EAGLE SCOUT, I dare say your statement"> Woodbadge is as close
as it gets to earn an "eagle" badge and wear the
> trapping of the accomplishment." is wrong and an insult! I think you
should think again.
You say "After 15 years as a serving UC,ADC ,DC and Commisioner College
Dean, I can
> tell you that many of our great unwashed are confused about the role of
> woodbadge....and what woodbadge does "
I say you should re-evaluate your own position and do a better job of
'splainin' it. Good sir, I am glad, with your spirit, that you are not my
UC, ADC, DC, or CCD where I am. I would trust that the person in these
positions in our council and district had a more focused spirit, and lived
it rather than knocked it. You do your district and its scouts and scouters
a great disservice with your attitude. I don't even know you, but sir you
must have changed. Someone blew out your fire and you are gagging in the
smoke. I think you need to re-kindle your spirit or retire from more than
just CM. I can only hope that my words here help move you on to a
refreshing start or on toward retirement because your attitude is not one I
would like my boys (leaders and scouts) to hear! But I think you want to
hear them from the tone of your blast.
Good luck to you, may your energy return before the rest of you dies!

Just a plain 'ole (Plano) Texan and a good 'ole Antelope, too, but I shall
forever be an Eagle!
