So forgive me if I tread on sacred ground.
Woodbadge is a fine program. Woodbadge yields scouting 9x(the number of
learners) carefully selected projects over the next 2 years for the
beneifit of community, scouting and self.
The real time business of scouting has been affected by the clock and the
value of peoples time like all other human activity.
WHO HAS THE TIME.
Besides , over half of the people present are knowledgable about these
ditties and rants and groan"not again"
Some Council Dinners having been taken over by the gillwell song and the
dinnie zulu story (45 minutes) have refocused on the silver beaver and
eliminated woodbadge entirely.
Woodbadge needs to get a life again. They(the woodbadge culture) needs to
redefine its face to scouting and it especially needs to do some effective
PR by demonstrating to the scouting world that they are more than a good
old boys and girls network and can come forward into realtime and sell soap

of woodbadge to entry level scouters on their journey to the best game in
Alot (as opposed to MOST or ALL) quit senior roles in council, district and
unit events within 3 years of WB. Yes ,there are exceptions but just think
I like to think of woodbadge as the grand ole reserve of scouting.
With Woodbadge, scouting fever among adults will never die.
Woodbadge is as close as it gets to earn an "eagle" badge and wear the
trapping of the accomplishment.
Woodbadge....please due critical evaluation of yourself in a public forum.
like this list, and maybe some good will come out in the wash and people
will not groan anymore when they hear "IS THERE A BEAVER IN THE HOUSE"
I used to be an owl and a good ol owl too.
I have never finished "owlin"
