Wait a minute!! It wasn't cancelled...they just moved the location
to Norway and it was Nordjam 79?? Was I dreaming or something??
I remember something to the effect that the BSA led the efforts to
move and quickly organize the new World Jamboree at the site in
Norway (or Sweeden, or one of them Nordic countries)!

Or *perhaps* move it to Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, where's there's
already a "hold" on the facility as a Jamboree site. With some
planning and coordination, Scouts and Scouters from around the
world could be coming once again to America's shores!
(and the BSA could have a National Scouting event...unexpected, but
hey...those are the BEST KIND, right??) in 1999!!
